I remember way back in the day reading about these in Sport Compact Car. I believe they had to send their transmission to Utah to get it rebuilt by like the one expert? I’m probably remembering wrong as it was a decade or two ago, but I know transmissions are rare for these guys.

I had a 1988 Celica All-Trac back in the day. I ’m told these 323GTX’s drove much better, however the Celica transmissions were much more durable.
